I Saloni 2011: 50 years young

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2011/april/default.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9676.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">I Saloni will celebrate their 50th birthday next April. A milestone anniversary that will be celebrated in the full awareness of the fact that everything that has been accomplished by all those who have shown their commitment to the Saloni, right from the very first day, must be carried forward tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, for (at least) another 50 years, increasingly and constantly better. A great many events are planned, both at the Fairgrounds and in the city of Milan.

“50 years young” stands out in bold letters on the first publicity page advertising the upcoming Saloni. This is a tongue-in cheek way of proclaiming their age, an ironic play on words that resonates with their nature and spirit, young and lively.

They are wearing those 50 years well, given that visitor numbers have gone up from 12,100 in 1961 to 297,460 in 2010 and that the initial 328 exhibitors over what was then 11,000 square meters of display space have become over 2,500 in an area now measuring in excess of 200,000 square meters. The figures for 2010 were no less impressive, with 5,110 journalists from 65 different countries representing the press, and a visiting public of over 32,000 people on the Sunday alone.

Having notched up 50 years doesn’t mean that it’s time to rest on our laurels, rather that we must continue to build on them, looking to the future, the next 50 years, with a well-structured project that, along with the usual exhibition events – the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, the biennial Euroluce / International Lighting Exhibition and SaloneUfficio / International Biennial Workspace Exhibition and SaloneSatellite – will involve the city of Milan, providing an opportunity for reflection on design, on the world of industry that has made it all possible, on creativity and on culture.

From Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th April, there will be a double appointment, both at the Fair itself and in the city, in keeping with Cosmit’s policy of being constantly on the look-out for the balance between tradition and innovation in the name of quality.

The Rho exhibition complex will provide a chance to see, touch and try out the best products the world of domestic furnishing has to offer – from beds to wardrobes to chairs to interior and exterior lighting systems to office furniture – in terms of typology – from stand-alone pieces to coordinates – and style – from classical to design to modern – not to mention the trendsetters of tomorrow. There will be a new layout for the areas assigned to the exhibiting companies, with an extension of the design sector in Pavilions 16-20 and a new collection for Euroluce / the International Lighting Exhibition – in the interconnected 4 single-storey Pavilions, 9-11 and 13-15 – and SaloneUfficio / International Biennial Workspace Exhibition – in Pavilions 22-24 – strategically located opposite each other and between the West and South Gates (Porta Ovest and Porta Sud).

The city, for its part, will play host to an overarching cultural project that will be staged at various historical venues. Innovation lies at the heart of all the events: innovation in people and in things, looking back at the past with an eye to the future. Innovation was what spurred on that initial group of entrepreneurs, culminating in September 1961 in the first ever Salone del Mobile. It was during this period that Italian design was born, a celebration of the amazing union between the business world and the creativity of the masters.

In an innovative twist, a theatrical piece by Laura Curino, produced by Piccolo Teatro di Milano, will be staged by Cosmit, in collaboration with Fondazione Giannino Bassetti, FederlegnoArredo and the Milan and Monza-Brianza Chambers of Commerce, which tells the story of the great Milanese protagonists, designers and design entrepreneurs, and examine the continuity of ideas and the industrial world that grew up around their creative genius. In February “Great Hands, Without End ? The birth and ascent of design in Milan: the Castiglionis, Magistretti, Menghi, Sottsass, Viganò, Zanuso”, opens at the Teatro Studio Expo, as part of the project “Achieving the improbable”.

An original way of recounting history while looking to the future, a platform for the ideas, attributes and experiences of Castiglioni, Magistretti, Menghi, Sottsass, Viganò, Zanuso and the entrepreneurs with whom they dealt, Cassina, Castelli, Gandini, Barassi, Bitossi and Sarfatti. Masters and entrepreneurs from the past, whose input provided the stimuli on which build the future, in other words the models and applications that would mark the fifty years to follow.

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Salone del Mobile, the Triennale Design Museum will dedicate its fourth edition to the people and companies that have helped to create the Italian design system. “Dream Factories”, from 5th April 2011 to 26th February 2012.

This year, at Euroluce / International Lighting Exhibition, Cosmit will be gazing into the heart of Milan, right to its ancient core, comprised of what is now the area around Piazza della Scala-Piazza San Fedele. Here, where the ground rises gently, the ancients used to worship a small wood that created an arbour sheltered by trees they considered sacred, we intend to recreate the ancient sacred grove, the lucus as they used to call it, which – when the light fell on it – became “a multitude of trees of religious significance.” Attilio Stocchi’s scenography for “The Arbour” will transform the heart of Milan into a new, visionary Theatrum Naturae, where the trees once swathed in the Po Valley mists will flourish once again, to the sound of that extraordinary chorus produced by the flying species that populated it: goldfinches, long-tailed tits, hoopoes, common redstarts, wagtails. From 12th&nbsp; to 17th April.

Lastly, the suggestive setting of Piazza Duomo will provide the backdrop to “Principia – Forward Arts”, an exhibition devoted to an imagined future, a path through eight spaces designed by Denis Santachiara in collaboration with the Solares Fondazione delle Arti, scientists and young and famous artists. The most innovative scientific discoveries will be reinterpreted, manipulating science to create unique works of art that stem from a principium, largely attributable to the latest and most cutting-edge technologies. From 12th April to 1st May.

Building on the successful format of the last two editions, this year’s initiative – supported by Cosmit and Fondazione Cosmit Eventi – will be dedicated to autograph designs and sketches donated by graphic artists from all over the world to the FAI – The Italian Environment Fund – to be held at the Villa Necchi Campiglio Historic House Museum. “The Hand of the Graphic Designer” from 8th April to 8th May.

Virtual technology has enabled the Saloni to become even more accessible. Logging onto the Cosmit site with an iPhone or smartphone, the mobc3 platform set up by Neos (www.mobc3.com) automatically links to the optimised small screen Saloni preview application. Then, from the first day of the Fair onwards, it will also provide real time information on what is happening at the Saloni: not just the companies taking part, conventions and events. The wide-ranging info-mobility service set up by the Milan Fairgrounds together with Radio Traffic will provide real time information on parking and traffic conditions around the exhibition complex, on the motorways, the underground, railways and airports.

Euroluce 2011: a new world of light

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2011/april/euroluce-2011-a-new-world-of-light.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9677.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">The International Lighting Exhibition is back with a wide and innovative range of goods, in total synergy with the Saloni and, in particular with SaloneUfficio, the International Biennial Workspace Exhibition, with which it will now be held every other year from now on, thus boosting the range of design and contract goods on offer.

The 26th edition of the International Lighting Exhibition, commonly known as Euroluce, is an unmissable appointment, especially following on the heels of the success of the previous editions. It will be back in fighting form, with the content and detail that mark it out as the benchmark lighting sector exhibition at global level.

Incontrovertible proof that Euroluce 2011 has reached its maturity will be the all-encompassing range of top quality goods on offer, confirmation yet again of the original interest in the decorative that subsequently led to the involvement of other sectors such as street lighting, technical illumination, light sources and, from this year onwards, control systems and last generation devices. A special area will be devoted to the latter, a sort of technological island – identifiable by a unified display that will showcase everything this new lighting sector already has to offer and, especially, that it will require in the near future: from control devices to components.

Euroluce 2011 will be strategically located between the West Gate (Porta Ovest) and South Gate (Porta Sud), in 4 single-storey linked pavilions – 9-11 and 13-15, a total area of 41,000 square metres, that will feature lighting products alone. The extremely user-friendly layout will ensure that operators can move freely between the approximately 450 exhibitors.

As well as being in complete synergy with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and SaloneSatellite, Euroluce 2011 will also benefit from being held in tandem with SaloneUfficio, the International Biennial Workspace Exhibition. This will be located in Pavilions 22-24, opposite those of Euroluce, thus amplifying the range of design and contract goods on offer, and responding to the ever-increasing affinities that now exist between the worlds of work and lighting.

The 26th edition of Euroluce has also provided an opportunity for renewed collaboration with the PLDA and APIL lighting designers’ associations. Two the scheduled appointments: the Educators' Summit on 12th and 13th April and Light Focus on Milan: The Lighting Designer and New Technologies on 14th and 15th April, both at the Milan Fairgrounds, Rho.

Euroluce is unique in that it involves and draws in huge target visitor numbers - 308,000 at the last edition - and is the unmissable appointment for those who want to keep their fingers on the pulse of the lighting world of tomorrow and join in the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile at the Fairgrounds.

A special event will also be dedicated to the theme of light. Highlighting the close ties between the Fair and the urban territory, Cosmit will be gazing into the heart of Milan, right to its ancient core, comprised of what is now the area around Piazza della Scala-Piazza San Fedele. Here, where the ground rises gently, the ancients used to worship a small wood that created an arbour sheltered by trees they considered sacred, we intend to recreate the ancient sacred grove, the lucus as they used to call it, which – when the light fell on it – became “a multitude of trees of religious significance.” Attilio Stocchi’s scenography for “The Arbour” will transform the heart of Milan into a new, visionary Theatrum Naturae, where the trees once swathed in the Po Valley mists will flourish once again, to the sound of that extraordinary chorus produced by the flying species that populated it: goldfinches, long-tailed tits, hoopoes, common redstarts, wagtails...

Discover the Love Design stand at Saloni

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2011/april/discover-the-love-design-stand-at-saloni.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9678.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">From April 12th to April 17th 2011, like last year, Love Design will be attending the Saloni with its own stand generously hosted by Cosmit and Fondazione Cosmit Eventi. The aim is to present and to draw public attention on Love Design, the important fund raising event created in 2003 to support oncologic research in Italy thanks to the common contribution of Adi – the Association of Italy’s leading design companies – and the members and supporters of Airc – the Italian Association for Cancer Research.

To present the Love Design campaign, the short film “The exhibition” will be displayed at the stand. The film is directed by Stefano Quaglia, written by the advertising agency Grey Milano and offered by the Italian production house The Family.

The main event for the public will take place from October 21st to October 23rd at the PAac– the Contemporary Art Pavilion – thanks to the contribution of the Cultural Department of Milan City Council which will make the location available. During these three days Love Design will transform the products generously offered by Design Companies into funds for cancer research thanks to the people who will choose to support Airc. The co-operation between design companies and the public is a necessary and winning tool to help the progress of the Italian cancer research.

The following companies have already confirmed they will take part to Love Design: Alcantara, Ares Line, Caimi Brevetti, Ceccotti Collezioni, Davide Groppi, De Padova, Fiam Italia, Fontanaarte Group, Kartell, Luceplan, Mamoli Robinetteria, Mdf Italia, Molteni&amp;C., Nespresso Italia, Sambonet Paderno Industrie, Serralunga,Vortice…and more!

SaloneUfficio: for conceiving, planning and furnishing the workspace

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2011/april/saloneufficio-for-conceiving-planning-and-furnishing-the-workspace.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9679.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">Now in its 15th edition, the International Biennial Workspace Exhibition is an unmissable appointment for all the pundits who regard quality as the foundation of their business. At the Milan Fairgrounds, Rho, from 12th to 17th April, in Pavilions 22-24.

After a three year gap, SaloneUfficio is back as part of a single framework: the Saloni, encompassing the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Euroluce, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition and SaloneSatellite at one single time and in one single space. 4 leading exhibitions at global level brought together to make up an extraordinary promotional vehicle and an indispensible business tool.

It is being coupled with Euroluce because designing offices and lighting systems go hand in hand, mutually complementary. To emphasise this new synergy – bearing in mind the fact that this is the first year in which these biennials are being held together – thus amplifying the range of design and contract goods on offer, the two exhibitions have been placed opposite each other: SaloneUfficio in Pavilions 22-24, Euroluce in Pavilions 9-11 and 13-15, a strategic position between the West Gate (Porta Ovest) and South Gate (Porta Sud).

Added value is conferred by the fact that the exhibition spaces are adjacent to those of SaloneSatellite, a pointer to a competition geared to the particular types of designs featured at SaloneSatellite to facilitate contact between entrepreneurs and designers.

With 120 participating companies ranged over 14,500 square metres, SaloneUfficio is the acknowledged leading showcase for top quality furniture and accessories for offices, banks, insurance companies, post offices, public and community spaces, not to mention solutions for home offices and workstations.

The importance of workspace in the modern economy has become increasingly central in terms of both market and staff productivity and communication, and in terms of the assessment criteria people rely on when deciding whether to take up or leave a job. The impact of the workspace on all these often lies unrecognised, being hard to quantify yet extremely significant. Offices are the places that produce the greatest yield in terms of modern economic value, and therefore companies should look on the provision of new workspaces as an investment rather than a cost. This is SaloneUfficio’s credo.

Always a trendsetter, SaloneUfficio presents two experiential spaces for a flavour of the office of the future. IFMA Italia, the point of reference for the world of facility management, will again be involved in this edition of SaloneUfficio. The program will feature the seminar entitled “The Facility Manager and the Evolution of Workstyles” devoted to the strategic management of workspaces, not just “classic” offices, but also different sorts of facilities, ranging from conference halls to credit institutions (on Wednesday 13th April at 10.30am, Conference Centre, Aquarius Room, Milan Fairgrounds, Rho).

The SaloneSatellite: Designing the Future

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2011/april/the-salonesatellite-designing-the-future.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9680.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">In addition to the customary presentation of new projects by young designers, the SaloneSatellite, riding the wave of last year’s success, proposes again a contest aimed at fostering contacts between designers under 35 and the exhibitors at the Saloni. As always, the Satellite looks toward the future – in this case, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Saloni by laying the groundwork for the next 50 years. From 12th – 17 th April 2011, Milan Fairgrounds, Rho, Pavilions 22-24, open to the public, free admission.

The ritual of creativity is celebrated with special enthusiasm this year. After the success of last year’s edition, the SaloneSatellite wants to bring the worlds of young designers and manufacturers even closer. Many of the pieces presented as prototypes in the thirteen previous editions have gone into production, and many of the participating designers – more than 6,000, from 191 different schools – have become important figures in the star system, from Front (Sweden) to Lorenzo Damiani, Carlo Contin and Paolo Ulian (Italy); from Stefan Diez (Germany) to Sean Yoo (USA).

The 14th edition maintains last year’s regulations, which require participants to present – in addition to their SaloneSatellite entry – one or more projects belonging to the biennial trade shows that run concurrently with the Salone Internazionale del Mobile. In the case of the 2011 edition, these are Euroluce and SaloneUfficio. While dictating categories may seem to impede creativity, in truth it provides focus by requiring participants to target their ideas to the real-life typologies present in the product catalogues of the Saloni exhibitors. As such, the contest represents a further step toward facilitating the contact between supply and demand, between design and business, between creativity and production. 700 are the SaloneSatellite participants together with 20 design schools, including debut appearances by University of South Australia, Australia; Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile; Kymenlaakson Ammattikorkeakoulu, Finland; Institut Superieur de Design, France; Politecnico di Bari, Italy; Poliarte, Italy; Vilnius Academy of Art, Lithuania; Centro de Diseno, Cine y Television, Mexico; Universidad Iberoamericana, Santo Domingo; Northern Michigan University, USA;&nbsp; Drexel University, USA; Philadelphia University, USA; San Jose State University, USA.

A Jury composed of internationally important figures in the world of design, architecture, manufacturing will select the 3 best projects from the 2 categories represented at the Saloni – Lighting and Office. The 3 prizes will consist in a cash award. Winners will also enjoy consulting and press office services, so as to ensure maximum exposure of the winning projects. The installation of the SaloneSatellite will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Saloni with an innovative concept. Seven young architect/designers and 3 international design schools that have participated in past editions of the SaloneSatellite will each interpret with his/her own installation the theme of the SaloneSatellite 2011, “50+50 projects ? Designing the Future”, with the overall installation curated as always by architect Ricardo Bello Dias.

Admittance to the SaloneSatellite has always been highly competitive. The proposals are examined and evaluated by a prestigious Selection Committee drawn from the same pool of international professionals from the world of design, architecture and media. This year’s members: Marta Anzani, Corporate Manager, Poliform; Stefano Bucci, journalist, Corriere della Sera; Umberto Cassina, Vice President, MDF Italia; Alberto De Zan, President, Assufficio; Beppe Finessi, architect/critic; Andres Fredes, Creative Director, Juland BarcelonaVienna; Michele Gismondi, Managing Director, Nord Light; Francisco Gomez Paz, designer; Giulio Iacchetti, industrial designer; Marco Romanelli, architect; Alessandro Sarfatti, CEO, Luceplan; Marva Griffin, SaloneSatellite curator.

In keeping with its philosophy of supporting young designers, the SaloneSatellite renews its agreement with ADI (Italian Industrial Design Association), which protects their ideas through a Design Register. Protection is valid only in Italy. Once again, the SaloneSatellite confirms its status as the present, and above all the future of design.

On the occasion of the
fiftieth anniversary of Salone del Mobile, Triennale Design
Museum devotes its fourth
edition to the people, companies and projects which contributed to develop the
system of Italian design from the end of the Second World War to date and
contributed to the global success of Salone del Mobile.

By means of an overview of iconic objects, a story is told aimed on the one
hand&nbsp; at illustrating the specific
activities and deep nature of what Alberto Alessi terms the “Factories of
Italian Design”, moving along a line joining the functional, semiotic and
poetic values of the objects being manufactured and – on the other hand – at
illustrating the great abilities and skills implemented in such “research
laboratories” which also attract foreign designers who choose to work in Italy
since they are aware of the excellence of Italian production.

&nbsp;

The exhibition is organised
around two poles: on one hand a detailed and precise theoretical approach
deriving from the analysis conducted on such issues by the coordinator over the
last years and on the other hand a poetic, artistic and fictional approach
drawing from the imagery of Lewis Carroll and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

&nbsp;

The design project by Martí
Guixé is conceived as one of the adventures narrated in Alice in Wonderland:
a dialogue involves objects and designers and the histories of great
entrepreneurs are intertwined with their individual biographies in a joyful
atmosphere rich in emotions and hints. It is an extraordinary occasion to
discover some of the most famous objects of Italian design from new points of
view.

&nbsp;

After having answered the question What is Italian Design? by means of The Seven Obsessions of Italian Design, Series,
Off Series and The Things We Are Triennale Design Museum, the first museum of Italian design, confirms to be a dynamic
museum capable of renewing constantly and offer unprecedented and diversified
approaches to its visitors. It is an emotionally involving museum, a living and
changing organism that – thanks to its innovative formula - every year can ask
questions, pose problems and start debates.

Snaidero presents OLA 20 by Pininfarina in the new flagship store of Moscow

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2010/september/default.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9400.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">Snaidero has
chosen the new and exclusive Moscow flagship store to officially
present the new Ola 20 at an international level, the latest
creation born by the collaboration with Pininfarina group.

Ola will be introduced on 7th October 2010 in front of Edi Snaidero,
president and chief executive officer; and in front of Paolo
Pininfarina, president of the Pininfarina Extra.

SNAIDERO and PININFARINA IN RUSSIA: a successful combination

A few months after the official presentation at the latest Salone del
Mobile fair in Milan, Snaidero has chosen the Russian market to
internationally launch OLA 20, the latest product born by the strong
collaboration with Pininfarina group; with which the prestigious
Snaidero brand has been exclusively working with; in the creation of
kitchens for the last 20 years.

Snaidero, thanks to over 40 years of export experience, has become
worldwide and particularly in Russia, the Italian brand that represents
the "Italian lifestyle" that in the field of kitchen design
refers to its sophisticated design; to its innovation, quality, and
elegance. All aspects that are well expressed in the design of OLA 20,
a unique contemporary cult which has existed for 20 years and of which
Snaidero proposes a new fresh and modern concept, without altering the
authenticity and the originality of a great classic.

Continuously produced since 1990, Ola established the beginning
of the collaboration between Snaidero and Pininfarina group; born from
the intention of escaping the standardized visuals in kitchen production
creating new forms still able to perform the essential functions of a
kitchen. A project with strong architectural impact, capable of solving
very carefully all aspects of the house using innovative technological
solutions, so that in 1996 Ola won the Good Design Award, the
oldest and most important award for design that was first established in
1950 by the Chicago Athenaeum, which is an architecture, art and urban
studies museum in the city of Illinois; a historical post of modern
world architecture.

Ola 20 traces the history of the project and at the same time making use
of it; as a result the new project is precise, elegant, precise and
immediate. The evolution of an idea which remains faithful to the
original, being inspired by the best of its past in order to succeed in
the present.

SNAIDERO IN RUSSIA: MORE THAN 15 YEARS OF PRESENCE

Snaidero takes the opportunity, with the renovation of its Concept
Store in the heart of Moscow, to introduce for the first time
the new Pininfarina project. The new flagship store became a unique
exposition store made up of more than 400 square meters framed by a 30
meters glass window with the typical Snaidero colors, black and orange;
which reinforce the idea of elegance, design and technology that
represent the evolution of the brand and its goals achieved over the
years. These are amazing achievements that have been reached over a
period of 15 years, back when "Made in Italy" on the Russian furniture
market was still a challenge. With a circulation of about 40 stores in
Russia, Snaidero is definitely one of the protagonists in the
exportation of "Made in Italy", so that in Snaidero's own ranking;
Russia is the second biggest market, second only to the United States.

THE LAUNCH

The launch of OLA 20 will be held on October 7th 2010 from 7:00
pm; President Edi Snaidero and President Paolo Pininfarina
will be present, together with other distinguished guests from the
world's press and Italian and Russian architecture. The event will
include a press conference after which for the first time a new project
will be presented which states the relevance that architecture, with all
its nuances, has to Snaidero. On October 7th the first edition of the SNAIDERO
DESIGN AWARD will take place, which was created with the intention
of awarding architects and designers that have been collaborating with
Snaidero in Russia. The award will be given to those who have been
creating the most innovative projects while working with Snaidero. The
judges, Edi Snaidero and Paolo Pininfarina, two names, the former in
design and the invention, while the later with intelligence and the
entrepreneurship are promoting in the world values such as beauty and
uniqueness with the pride of the Italian design.

Snaidero furnishes the Trump Tower in Istanbul with more than 200 kitchens to be delivered in July 2010

<TABLE><TR><TD valign="top"><A href="http://www.italiandesign360.com/articles/2010/june/default.aspx"><IMG src="/allegati/9372.JPG" border="0"></A></TD><TD valign="top">Snaidero has been awarded a new important contract in Turkey for the supply of kitchens in the most prestigious real estate development currently in progress in the country.

An extraordinary result that rewards the quality and uniqueness of this prestigious Italian trademark of quality. The Trump Group has chosen Snaidero, one of Europe's leaders in the manufacturing and distribution of modular kitchens, to supply the kitchens to be installed in the two luxurious Towers being completed in Istanbul, designed by the Brigitte Weber architectural studio.

After the two important commissions secured during 2009 for the supply of more than 500 kitchens in residential areas, the Majano Group further consolidates its presence in Turkey, thanks also to the fruitful collaboration with its historical Turkish partner, Eng. Bulent Durlanik who represents the important Cankutaran Company. This achievement confirms the trademark's strength, proposing an exquisitely designed product, completely Made in Italy, backed up by the high standard of components and materials, but also by the capacity of the company that, within extremely short times, is able to manufacture a great number of kitchens customised to specific client requirements. For this work order, Snaidero will supply the innovative Orange product, which met with the approval of the architects because of the particularities featured in a designer and quality kitchen, which at the same time is also simple and competitively priced. Orange is a design that perfectly represents Snaidero's ongoing commitment to environmental protection and to the company's social responsibility.

In fact, Orange was conceived to be "green": an eco-friendly kitchen designed according to eco-sustainability criteria to improve the quality of home-living. Orange uses ecological wood, varnishing treatments relying on water-based products but, above all, it adopts a new panel with an extremely low formaldehyde emission. Snaidero reacts to the difficult challenge of the International economic crisis by continuing to invest and to consolidate itself in the contract supply sector.

It must in any case be emphasised that the company's history where the development of this sector is concerned, is not recent: it originated in the Nineties in the United States when it proved itself in the real estate sector, linked mainly to the development of "luxury" residences, this important specialisation in the contracting field as a further and vital opportunity for growth. From that moment onwards, the exclusive "Friulane" kitchens started to "populate" apartments the world over: from 1992 to date, more than 7,000 kitchens have been installed throughout North America in real estate complexes of great prestige, such as the Trump Tower in Chicago in 2006.

In the subsequent years, these achievements in the United States were followed by projects secured in Europe, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand Turkey, Dubai and Korea: precisely during these weeks, Snaidero is completing delivery of a supply of kitchens for an overall value of 6 million Euro destined for the most important real estate development in progress in Seoul. "Turkey is proving to be a still dynamic real estate market, ready to invest in quality products and trademarks", states the Snaidero Group's President, Eng. Edi Snaidero, "after the important supply to Chicago's Trump Tower, we are proud to once again link our name to such prestigious real estate developments. With this contract, Snaidero confirms its calling as a Company that exports Made in Italy designs the world over, thanks to its kitchens of the highest quality".

Adaptability of the product to each individual project's requirements, a dedicated service to fulfil orders effectively, adherence to delivery times and swift post-sales assistance: these are the critical facets that prospective purchasers look for when selecting a supplier, and these are precisely the objectives that Snaidero sets itself on a daily basis in approaching the world of contracting. President Snaidero concludes: "Our business increasingly looks towards foreign markets and the contracting sector: we are a company that looks ahead, always in the quest for new solutions to be able to effectively manage socio-cultural changes and lifestyles. We believe that creativity, innovation and the privilege of having an important heritage behind us, as well as a strong corporate culture and solid values, are the necessary ingredients for being competitive nowadays. Our optimism for the future derives from the certainty that Snaidero is in fact all this". more informations and images on
